Ray specializes in optimizing building performance through close collaboration with owners, building managers, and design and construction teams. As the Director of GHT’s Operational Phase Services (OPS) studio, he oversees Energy Services and Commissioning projects at GHT, providing expertise in facility system assessments, systems commissioning, troubleshooting, and MEP system evaluations to support feasibility studies, cost analyses, concept options, and forensic evaluations.

A Certified Commissioning Professional with more than 35 years of experience, Ray earned a Universal Certification in Refrigeration Transition & Recovery (Section 608) and Certification in Refrigeration Transition and Recovery (Section 609) from Ferris State University. He is a member of the Building Commissioning Association (BCA), American Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), and American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, & Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and is currently serving a second three-year term on the BCA National Capitol Chapter Board of Directors, acting as President for 2011 and 2012. Ray is also a Licensed (1st class) Stationary Engineer and Licensed HVAC Contractor in Colorado.
