The Alta was the first residential project to achieve Certification under the LEED for New Construction & Major Renovations™ rating system in the District of Columbia. The 13-story, 85-unit condominium located at Thomas Circle also includes first-floor retail and five levels of parking.

GHT provided MEP engineering design for the sustainable project, which features a green roof; low-VOC paints and adhesives; ENERGY STAR® appliances; high performance HVAC system; carbon dioxide sensors; high efficiency building envelope; and low output exterior lighting.
