This 336-key hotel is part of a mixed-use development in the heart of Arlington’s Ballston neighborhood, Arlington Gateway, which also includes a 350,000 SF office tower and 415-unit apartment residence. The Westin offers a full ballroom, meeting facilities, restaurant, lounge, Starbucks Cafe, and retail outlets.
The hotel’s mechanical system has central chill water and central hot water heat serving rooftop units for water supply, gas heat, air handling units for all public areas and four pipe fan coil units for guest rooms. Per the hotel’s life safety standards, it also features a mechanical smoke removal system. The electrical system is separately metered with custom lighting and controls for all public spaces and guest room power distribution per hotel standards. The central domestic hot water system has two temperature zones to meet kitchen and public use needs.
