GHT’s work on The George Washington University’s Virginia Science and Technology Campus in Ashburn dates back to 2002. In our latest engagement, GHT served as a consultant to Studio 39 for the creation of an exciting new campus landmark: the Solar Walk. GHT provided electrical engineering for the creation of this 1,500 FT pedestrian connection that utilizes self-sustaining power to illuminate the overhang and path lights and ties to the utility grid to serve building loads. Guiding pedestrians between Exploration and Innovation Halls, it also features sustainable landscape elements and enhances the campus’ progressive mission.
