200 Eye Street SE Renovation

The evolution of 200 Eye Street SE – formerly known as 225 Virginia Avenue SE – from a long-vacant printing facility into sustainably designed office space for DC Government agencies is part of a coordinated vision to revitalize the Anacostia Riverfront area. Nearby amenities include the future Canal Park and the Navy Yard station on Metro’s green line.

The project is being funded through an innovative public-private partnership that includes a purchase to lease-leaseback arrangement that will deliver significant savings to District taxpayers and return ownership to the DC Government when the 20-year lease expires. StonebridgeCarras currently owns the property.

The project team is pursuing a certification level of Gold under the LEED® for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance™ rating system. The design will include an entirely new mechanical system. GHT is employing Revit® MEP building information modeling (BIM)  software to provide full documentation for the project.
