Venable’s Baltimore headquarters includes seven floors of office space, shared work space, conference center, and a 2,000 SF data center.
The law firm’s amenities include a lounge and outdoor terrace on the 10th floor. In order to provide the rooftop terrace, a 350 KW generator utilized for back-up power and HVAC had to be relocated to the loading dock, a challenge that was overcome with success.
Cooling for the data center is provided by rack-mounted HVAC and supplemental HVAC was supplied for the 10th floor conference center. Another design challenge was incorporating HVAC design around the two-story atrium on the 9th and 10th floors. Electrical design included lighting, AV, and power design for the 10th floor conference center.
