GHT employed Revit® MEP building information modeling (BIM) software to provide full documentation for GXS’ new global headquarters. Each floor is served by a single, self-contained air conditioning unit, and the design includes supplemental HVAC in the tenant server room, LAN rooms, conference center, and training area.
The project team achieved a certification level of silver under the LEED for Commercial Interiors ™ rating system. Sustainable features include occupancy sensors for 75% of the connected lighting load and dimming ballasts for lighting fixtures that can be controlled by individual dimmer switches.
In addition to open plan workstations and private offices, GXS’ space consists of multiple conference rooms, copy/workroom/production spaces, pantries, file rooms, LAN closets, and a mail room.
