CB Richard Ellis (CBRE)

CBRE’s Washington, DC office features two floors of Class A space including general office space, multiple conference rooms, and an employee café. The conference rooms include premium finishes, full audio/visual capabilities, and specialized lighting.

The project achieved a certification level of Gold under the LEED for Commercial Interiors ™ rating system. Sustainable design features include:

  • Daylight harvesting equipment that controls the perimeter lighting output based on photocell sensing ambient light
  • Use of low flow faucets and waterless urinals, resulting in water conservation 40% better than EPA standards
  • A rooftop ventilation unit which increases outside air ventilation by 30%, tied to CO2 sensors throughout the space
  • High efficiency lighting sources used to achieve a lighting density below 0.75 Watts / square foot
